I just installed this on my Trex 600N and it fires up when I put on the power but the problem is that when I unplugg the battery the Optipower guard also shuts down, hence it is not working as a backup, why is it like this?

I use a LIFE which I connect directly into the RX with a Y-cable. I then connect the Optipower guard in the other lead coming from the RX.
I just noticed that there is a balance lead on the guard. Do I need to connect this?Comment

Yes. You need to plug the balance lead into the opti board.Tom

Think I might have a prob with mine then too.. My led starts flashing after powering up, maybe 20-30 seconds in, usually after placed on floor for take off.
Bec is defo working on this heli as I've had many flight since this started happening. I've unplugged it for now.sigpic
