I think mine is going back, it is now coming back on with out moving the servos it just comes back on all on its own, looks like I got a bad one

OK, so from my test I'm not sure this is anything to worry about.

Tested using Align 610 servo.

It took more than just a small movement to trigger the Ultra Guard, but all that happened was a brief flashing of the green light and then it shut down again.

I would assume that the lack of a steady voltage prevented it from actually arming.

Is it behaving differently for anyone else when a servo is moved?

A update from last comment, re no problems and then reading Mark_T's comments. I tried again with more movement on a Align 615 servo and the same as Mark,s problems.

I'm not sure I'd rank what I'm seeing as a 'problem'.

As long as it is not actually delivering voltage to the system I don't have a problem.

Waking up briefly then returning to sleep without powering up is OK.

What Lee is seeing on the other hand does not sound right at all.

You don't seem to be powering down in the right sequence.

First disconnect the main power, then hold down the button on the Ultra Guard for more than 1 second to put it to sleep.

Edit: I should add, this is the 'right' sequence as per Optipower instructions, but may not be 'right' according to instructions provided with your BEC or ESC.

well its still not right I have to hold the button in until it goes into storage mode then press the button again to shut it down,
if I press the button for about one second the red light will flash for a second or two then it will start flashing red then green and not fully arming just twitching servos ???

I can shut down as per lees vid and it goes into hibernation mode and wont wake up again. I suspect there is a problem with your one.

Alternatively it could be an issue with your logo480. Better send me the whole heli and i will have a look at it for you and ensure that it is fully road tested before i send it back!!!!

thank you for testing that for me I don't feel half as stupid now, I have the same problem shutting it down the right way,
I will start packing the 480 for you right now

update::: just fitted it to my rave 635 with external gryphon bec and its working perfect if I move the servos the green light comes on and it goes back into hibernate mode, shuts down like it should.
its looking like it has a problem with the yge 90lv internal bec ?

Overall i am happy with it, however my suggestion for the seemingly inevitable V2 (why oh why!) would be to have the LED which can be bought separately and plugged into the battery end allowing the unit to be moved whilst leaving the rather flimsy cabling on the model. I guess from a manufacturer view, you would rather we all went out and bought 4 or 5, so i shan't hold my breath!

Revision 2 of the main board will have a suitable plug ready fitted such no soldering is required.

Now that is the quickest turn around of customer suggestion to production change!!
