Nope, left hong kong on the 9th ( in transit to destination) and then the same on the 21st.
Liam, can you tell me where this 24hr turnaround comes into the equation?

If it helps, from what I've gleaned over several orders the following is the pattern:

The 24 hour part is the gap between placing the order and having it selected and packed ready to leave the factory. Allow for weekends and public holidays.

Next the goods travel from the factory to Hong Kong which typically takes about 2-3 days, once it gets there HK post will issue the tracking number.

Once it leaves HK it enters darkness as far as tracking goes and is now subject to the delays added by customs processing in the UK and Royal Mail delivery.

Typically for me, if it leaves HK by Wednesday I tend to get it delivered by Monday/Tuesday the following week. I have had exceptions when it takes a little longer or even a bit faster.

From what you've posted, it looks like your original order was on track until it left HK and then seems to have got lost. I wouldn't be surprised if it does turn up eventually once either customs or Royal Mail find it sitting in a corner somewhere.

Sounds like Julian had another package shipped to replace it on the 21st, is there a separate and different tracking number for that one btw?

If it did leave HK on the 21st I'd expect that to arrive any moment now, subject to customs delays.

I really wish that HK post had better tracking, but it is as cheap as it gets so can't complain I guess. My last HobbyKing order never even had a tracking update, just appeared at my door 2 weeks later

No, no seperate tracking number for that one mark.
I did speak to julian briefly a couple of days ago and he was under the impression that they were lost but didnt mention anything about sending a second package to replace the first one? He did say that he would send them out again if they did turn out to be lost but after asking him to chase them up i havent heard back from him as of yet.

Same ol story Tony, seen and heard it so many times I'm afraid. Must cost them a fortune in lost packs but then they save on that by being selective with the warranty!

well ill reserve judgement for now Ben as if they did leave hong kong on the 21st they could as mark says turn up anytime now.
Id be alot happier if julian would just reply to emails, that just makes you believe that he doesnt give a shite.

I know what you mean, someone was posting exactly the same about Andy from Opti the other day and the truth in both cases is of course they both care a lot about their customers but running a business/travelling takes a lot of their time and they really should both have someone else handling the customer interactions so that matters get sorted in a timely fashion, yet neither can quite let go of that aspect it seems

Julian isn't always good at letting people know what he is doing to fix a problem, but it doesn't mean he isn't working on getting it fixed and when it involves a lost package he does have to get a reply from the carrier so that can delay things. Doesn't make it any less frustrating for you of course so not surprised it is getting irritating.

But you would only contact Andy for tech info about the packs which can be done by calling the office and speaking to people. Cant say the same for FP.

To buy Opti's we contact a model shop not Andy. Cant say the same for FP as no one wants to deal with them.

To arrange warranty we contact the model shop. Cant say there same for FP and even if you do get in contact its a waste of time as we all get fed the same story. Ask James, Tony, Matt etc etc the list goes on and on

In all aspects of dealing with FP its faceless through one person, any other packs are brought from shops and stores etc where you can get in contact with people should you need too.
