flightpower lipos

    We have a guy in our club who ordered some packs from flight power and to this date they have never turned up, he did manage to speak to somebody a while ago who said they would send some more, still nothing. Opti packs get my vote.

        He brought them on the 14th November, as for the shipping date I don't have a clue.

            Sutty - good to see you've joined here
            With the batteries it seems to be mainly the 6s 5000 50c nano packs with the issues. Julian does read these threads so hopefully he will pop in and get intouch with you. If not, drop him another e-mail and keep updated on here how you get on. I have been testin some hard cases lipos from quite a while ago that are performing well, but for where weight and performance/good life cycles I will now alway use OptiPower's. Excellent packs.

              Thanks for your reply Nigel. I hope your friend's packs turn up in the end. Judging by what I have been reading, OptiPower sound like a good bet, but I cannot simply right off 3 of my FP packs. I mean they are meant to be good for 500 cycles. I have been being so kind to them I was hoping to even get more cycles than that out of them. That's why I went for 50C, so I would be well below their rating, particularly for when I got to a high number of cycles, so that they would still be more than capable of powering the 550e.

                Ah, hello Grant, thanks for the welcome. Actually I joined a little while back, when Gaz got attacked by his 550, but just haven't posted anything other than wishing Gaz a speedy recovery. As for Julian, yeah, well it's not as if he doesn't know. I have mailed several times, and have sometimes received replies, but with no explanation as to what he intends to do about it for me, simply that he will get back to me. Checking back I now realise I first raised it with him on the 20th September, which unbelievably is nearly 4 months ago.

                      Thanks Gaz, Funny that, I nearly sent him a PM, as during my search for people in a similar position, I found an old post where he was selling four brand new 6S 5000 50C FlightPower packs. Reason for sale, replaced under warranty. Which made me wonder how he'd actually achieved that. I hope he looks in, as I decided not to PM him as I thought it a little cheeky.

                        ...my bad experience with Flightpower company continues
                        After been told that my order went missing and been promised that the lipo would have been shipped out ASAP, 2 weeks ago my lipo was still sitting in their warehouse. I then decided to cancel the order.
                        After more than a week of email exchange they promised (again) to refund me but apparently the are not using paypal anymore and they wanted my sort code/account number.
                        Obviously i did not provide it and contacted Paypal resolution centre.
                        very disappointed, their customer support doesnt exist! very unprofessional

                          Sorry to hear that too. Not just for you, but it doesn't bode well for me either. If you can't even get hold of packs that are rightfully yours, and ordered new, then I guess I will have even less chance of getting my packs replaced under warranty. The whole thing is very disappointing as I was holding out such high hopes for them.

                              Flightpower are an awful company for customer services, Stuart should ban them from advertising on here until it gets sorted out, but lets be fair it aint ever gonna be sorted out, Julian just doesn't care, even there sponsored pilots come on here saying everything is back to 24hr shipping and this should also stop, as its just lies.

                                I wouldn't even give Flightpower the time of day reading these continuing problems with getting them,I would not order anything from them if they were the last lipo supplier on Earth.
