    Thanks Mark,
    That's a good point mate. I tend to set the amps as opposed to doing the auto 1C as it a quicker charge, so there is probably no point.

    When I have a day with nothing better to do I'll probably give it a go just as an experiment.

      True % only means something if you know what empty and full mean. This is easy with petrol but not so easy with batteries. Lipos are even worse especially at the high charge and discharge currents we use. You will get different results at different charge and discharge rates and end charge and discharge volts. It will also vary with temperature and get worse as the battery ages. End voltage under load is the only thing that makes sense. I've had lots of msr batteries that would read 4.0V open circuit after hitting LVC in flight. They failed because I ran them for too long, even though the flights were timed. If the LVC on small helis wasn't set so low, the batteries would last longer.
