Storage is also key. If you're not putting your packs on storage charge after each session then you are dramatically reducing cycle life. It's worse than charging to 4.2 at 2 or 3C (and on optis it makes no difference to charge at 2 or 3c).

I hardly ever 'storage charge' as such. 90% of the time I just store by batteries at the voltage that they come off the heli (typically 3.7-3.8V). However i never leave them fully charged for long, so I'll discharge down to storage if they are left charged after a session.
From all the stuff I've read and my own experience anything in the 3.7 to 3.9V range can be considered 'good for storage'. It works for me I've got batteries 5 years old still working ok.

I didnt want to start a new thread to talk about the same thing. But I'm thinking about getting some more lipos of the 6s 5000mah. The stardard turnigy blues and the heavy duty one have done me fine for the price. There just seems to be nothing available at the UK hobbyking site, if you can workout how to use the new and 'improved' website that is . Even the Graphene stuff is showing out of stock and that was gettng on the pricey side anyway. Does anyone know if the stocks of these batteries are likely to be brought back in stock? Or can anyone recommed anothr source of lipos that are still the right side of 100 quid.

A few of the plane guys at my club have actualy bough stuff from bang-good. Ive been weary for the same reasons I dont buy from the hobbyking international warehouse.
How did you get on with the delivery. Did customs want a word/payment since they were shipped from china.

I have wondered why Hobbyking/uk stocks were diminishing so much, thinking it was perhaps down to the seemingly increasing difficulties of shipping lipos these days.

Im breaking in 2 of these predominantly for my 700 but put them in the 570 2 weeks ago, they seem to be ok but as I said I'm just breaking them in at the moment, they still have atleast 4 in stock, just checked by putting 4 in the basket, I put them back again, Ian.
