    Hi all,

sorry to jump in only I've just installed Dataxchange and can't get it to work.
If I try to download data from TX to pc, it appears to transfer ok according to tranny, but prog throws up error message "Time out! Read Failed"
Although the copy I bought is brand new, it's version 1 and I can't find anywhere to download latest version?
I'm using XP home and serial connector, not USB dongle.
    Any help much appreciated, thx.

    Paul.

Sorry to resurface an old thread but I cant pm Mr Christy who I understand is the guru for JR DataXchange???

I have tried the software on 2 machines - the first a Panasonic Toughbook running XP Pro Tablet but ports 1- 8 on the PC are already in use - the two USB slots are 9 and 10 but there isnt an option to choose 9 and 10 in the software - only up to 8 so I couldnt proceed down that path - unless someone knows how to work round that one??? Also the driver for the USB/232 interface need to be reinstalled every time the connection is lost. Getting it working on this laptop would be my preferred option.

Then I tried it on my wifes laptop running Windows 7 - applied the patch etc and the prog runs fine - the com port settings in the programme match the settings in Windows system and the USB/232 driver works fine etc. and after choosing the correct tranny - PCM9xII to match my JR DSX9 it tries to upload and the bar gets to either 10 or 18% and then hangs and crashes the programme. It does this every time.

Any techies out there got any ideas??

I am shortly wanting to copy all my models over from a Mk1 DSX9 to a Mk2 DSX9 - I 'think' I can do it directly from tranny to tranny with the buddy lead but I would really rather have a backup on my PC in case it all goes pear shaped as I have some very complex models saved.

The link earlier in this thread to possible updated drivers and prog files etc is now dead.

Any techies or Mr Christy out there have any words of wisdom????

          Thanks in advance
