the wiring job isn't exactly pretty, but in the end it's quite clean as there are only few wires in the first place. It took at least 6 hours...
The big ugly thing with an EC5 connector on the side is power distribution: two servo extensions split in the middle, plus one feed line into the V-bar.
That's one reason why I consider the mini V-bar a mistake: With the full-size version there are more connectors available to supply power. Especially the Align DS 610 draw a lot of current, and one single wire for power supply isn't enough.

EC5 connectors, as it's much more reliable than EC3 and I can use absurdly thick wires that will not break at the solder joint, not in a 1000 years...

Can I not simply mount the min vbar on the nose in front of the motor or would there be too much electrical interference?

You could put it on the center tray, inside the frame. The USB wire shipped with the V-bar has an angled connector, so you should be able to connect it, possibly through the hole in the top plate (maybe someone could comment who has tried, I haven't).

You can't mount it on top of the frame, as the plates aren't perpendicular to the main shaft.

Electrical interference, I wouldn't worry about that if it were my heli, I'd simply try. But that's only an opinion.

BTW, I looked it up: Mikado officially recommends two, better three power wires (link).

I've found space is at a premium in mine. I had the CGY750 installed but really didn't get on with it so now gone for a BeastX and put it on the plate above the boom mountings as this makes the wiring for the servos easier.

Took it out for its BeastX maiden today and found no issues with vibes

Had a shift about with my batterys i think the best way on this side mont is to have the cells in the pack flat, not on there sides power tails arft and out. the canopy slips on nice now i have flipped the packs i am happy with idle2 @2100 1dle1 @1920. i have the Savox 4096 tail servo seems solid to me. i am on the EDGE 693se fbl blades, i reccon there an 11 out of 11 !

Have my Beast X fitted Australian style 'stuck on its arse' works fine and easyer to wire! looks clean too.

I was originally going to go with that option as well, but then I saw how fiddly it was going to be to get the wiring between the frames. I'm also using BLS451's which don't have the longest servo wires so I'd end up having to use extensions and it'd end up looking messy, although it's not too tidy now. The other bonus is that the BeastX is easy to adjust in this position.

Ok let me just start of by saying that this looks BRILLIANT! Its massive :eagerness:

I tried to tell myself that I would not start the build until I had all the parts. Fail, I'm of to start building right now :adoration::adoration::adoration:

literally. Remove four screws, pull out the tail, take it to the golf court, use as #1 iron :D

BTW, my kit was missing quite many screws, get some spares from modelfixings.co.uk.

I'm having a nightmare identifying the correct screws for the frames. The packets are labled a,b,c,d ect but there is no mention in the manual which bag contains the correct screw set. Did you guys just empty all the screws into a big pot and messure each one to find the correct length. Trying to spot a m3x4 from a m3x5 is just mad!

Going camping then lol or put some ribs in and you'l have an exelent canoe! i was going to get one for my X7 but i got a tent, More test flying today tbo scares the bejeebers out of me, but i love it! and i think i'm feeling more confident with the awsome Grunt this thing has. also very, very solid. i have the AR7600 on the front beast X V3 on the backside i have used x3 csm male-male 150mm leads you can pop out two wires from one of the male ends(you'l need something pointy) and fit two new male ends to the two you have poped out, thay 'click' back in this extends the Mbx leads (thanks mat)

cheers Cuppa

I stsrted with bag A, when I pretty much ran out of screws I went with bag B and followed that on for the build.

One thing I did find was that the screws the manual says to use at the start of the frame build, aren't the same for the second other side, so you'll end up with some screws missing, but others spare, if that makes sense. What I'd suggest to do is to look through the manual so you know what screws are required for both sides of the frame. Also don't use the guide in the manual as the legend is wrong for the screw sizing

Just check them with a lil ruler as you build or a vernier if you have one FL do cap heads and cups imo much better than dome head 217541 cap head screws M3 and 217538 CSK washers M3

Found a small steel ruler which is working ok. They would have done much better by placing all the same size screws together in a bag. That way you can tip them out into individual pots and pick and choose as you need. Started building at 10pm and had most of the main frame done by 0100. Snapped my smallest hex driver trying to tighten down the canopy mounts by putting the hex part in the tiny hole. Won't do that again. Thing was that I knew it would not work but I did it anyway, note to self , don't build heli at midnight.
