Is there a trick to this? Seems to take me ages to get the front posts into the grommets..usually ending up feeling through the hole with a thin rod and levering the post over the inner grommet flange...

I haven't quite found the trick to it yet myself. Sometimes I luck out and it goes right on and other times I am trying to line up one of the front grommets, usually the right side one but maybe that's due to some habit of the order I do it in.

What I did on mine was to cut the end off the from post, and screw that on to the canopy screw. That way you do not need to stretch the canopy over the post.

I hope that makes some sense

U just get used to putting it on. I used to pull the bottom of the canopy apart and use my fingers to help locate. Really easy, no mods needed.

I don't bother with it, it's just too much trouble. Just paint the frame and the battery.
