Have you crashed it? Heavy landings?

Feathering shaft?. Is the motor running ok? It could need tuning to suit the weather.

    Headspeed low?

Blades correct tension in the grips?

    Mainshaft bent?

Is this at all throttle positions?

What is the headspeed? Could be too low.

You need someone to tacho it for you.

if it is not headspeed then something is bent or loose in the head or mast.

Are the paddles in line with the flybar carrier?

Failing all that you need someone to take a look.

                    Yes, a good check.

,Engine mounting bolts. Clutch bell and bearings, and everything above. As you say - a mystery

What do you mean by the shakes? Is it the tail shaking? I find that a lot of problems are caused by the tail pitch slider becoming a bit sticky. Check that it is super smooth.

I use this app for checking headspeed https://play.google.com/store/apps/d....headspeedtach.
Ive not compared it against a dedicated tacho but calculated headspeeds have been very accurate and its free.

Just spotted this...look for the post on head dampers
