On all my 90-size machines I use a pair of 2s 1000-1300mah hobbyking packs in parallel. Some machines use LiFe packs, others use LiPos, depending on the servos. I chop the connector and use a standard Futaba style plug on each and plug them in the FBL unit at each end of the servo bus so there's redundancy in the power supply and double the number of plugs and leads to give plenty of overhead when driving the servos. Never had the slightest bother with this setup.

On my E720, a pair of 1300 LiPo packs up front seems to balance the hell nicely.

But you would use two servo plugs to take power to the FBL on any larger heli (or at least you should)... For the very reason that they cant cope with high current. No point in using two servo plugs if they both then run to a single JST.

Can you use 'Y' connectors for the servo output sockets to power the FBL Bus. My FBL only has 1 power input socket available when everything is connected.

Yes, that's what I'd do. Use a good chunky Y-Lead, though: 22AWG or better.

Cheers. Sounds good. Maybe a plan for the original poster to get the C of G balanced.

Yeah, if you are short on connections you have little choice but to use Y-leads.
Although they work ok in practice I like to try to keep the number of connections to a minimum, each additional connector is just another potential failure point and more voltage drop. I try to pick FBL units that have enough connections to hook everything up without Y-leads. The full size Vbar is good for that as is the new Spirit Pro.
