      l thought the same till l tried it, l ran it like it for about two years. lt was fine.

        Well had two test flights with mine this morning, all was well, with check through tonight all screws etc.

          No pictures but if you look down the spindle from the non blade side you can see it deep down inside the spindle. If it's missing you can see the small steel pin that goes through perpendicular to the spindle and holds the belt pulley in place. That's how I knew mine was missing, I could see the steel pin.....

          A 'normal' sized grubscrew will be fine as the spindle is threaded all the way down to the pin but it's a good 20 to 25mm deep so unless you've got a long capscrew it will not reach and the cap head will not fit inside the shaft anyway as the hole is M3 thread sized..

          normal grub screw and plenty of loctite was what I used and a mental note to regulary check it's still in place and tight.
