Should there be any? If I pull on mine, there is about 0.5mm of play I guess, in each blade grip. Should this be there? Not sure if it was when I built it. When it came from the factory it was all fully assembled, I have tried to dissassemble it but it refused to come apart, so just re tightened and forgot about it! Not flown for three weeks and little things are bugging me now!

It maybe has thrust bearings in it. They will be rock solid when the tail has spooled upDel

Hi,
A small amount of 'Float' is perfectly acceptable as once the tail assembly is spinning the thrust races will take up the load.
I will check mine when i get home and let you know, but i'm 99.9% sure they are the same.Thanks!

Mine has no lateral movement at all. There is a tiny amount of sideways movement, but nothing worth worrying about.
Most tails I've had do have a little end float, but this will be taken care of by the thrust races when spooled up.Ian
