The only issue for me is fitting the fan shroud cross members and mounting bolts.
A couple of good methods for fitting them has been covered on here before - enjoy the build!

          Cheers,

The only potential issue I had was the main shaft collar being double tapped. I had a second batch kit where this was supposed to have been fixed - it wasn't. Its no biggie.

Also, i'm sure you've seen this but here it is again:

If possible could you enlighten me to the whereabouts of these tips Rob. This has been the only pain on an otherwise great heli and actualy makes me think twice about lubing the engine up with after run oil simply because of the hassle.

Following a Tip from that thread i'm going to move the gryo to the back of the heli, at the moment its the gp780 and I can't get it to hold tidy at all so hopefully this can make the tail more managable for the time being.

Easiest way I found is to put the spacer in the middle and then put an m3 bolt in one side to allow you to hold it and line it up. Then put one side of the fan shroud on, remove the loose bolt and put the other side on. Now just fully tighten both sides at the same time.

Actualy how I have been doing it Jamie but it can get a little fiddly :/. I'll have to keep to this method then for now although its not a massive problem.

Glad you didnt biff the N5 in at the 3d champs. I literally cringed when I saw it on the line with night flight gear on lol.

Well its been a while but this week me and Alec (dumb thumb it) have been tinkering and the N5 is taking shape...

But so far we've had to order New See Saw it was not threaded right, a new bearing for tail blade grips notchy as $%^%$, and a flange bearing I killed

All ordered from Midlands so lets hope its in the post.. although I did Add to the order a few times today

Big thanks to Alec who has been a great help with this machine

although he looks good in a picture here:

                    N5 build Started at last

Bloody blade grips were certainly hot to handle!

Big thank you to Alec (dumb thumb it)

for helping build the N5.. its proven to be a pain at times with the odd part.

But the build is 99% there now. Just needs 2 hours or so tidying and set up on the Gov.

Looking forward to flying it now.
