After work getting in the way alot over the last few weeks - finally got the N5 in the air today.
Have built a lot of heli's but for some reason have taken a lot more care with this one - and all seemed to check out fine, all be it for three short flights.
Comments:
1) Was really quite surprised by the std pirouette rate - much faster than anything I have ever flown, have turned down a bit till I get more used to it.
2) The OS 55 and Funtech B320 pipe were slobbering rich at the start, will try and get this dialled in next time - does anybody have a feel for where the needles may end up (running 20% Optifuel).
3) My AR7100R worked fine, apart from the fact that the sensor worked fine when I first installed it onto the motor, but now seems to have gone wrong - the red LED comes on when you rotate the engine but then doesn't seem to go out again. Tried playing with some washers but no good, may install a magnet and ATG sensor and run that in the AR7100R.
4) Onw way is very very free, no hint of a lock-up - not like someone's I spotted yesterday, sorry!!
5) Despite low headspeed from rich engine, the hang time from baby six foot auto's was amazing, can't wait to try some proper full height ones.
