I think the .50 sector on the whole is going to be extremely competitive. The Align .50 I think has reached it's peak.
The key though is the first to hit the market with a robust - well designed heli not just in durability but also in maintenance and running costs will take I suspect the lion share against the current leader. Again those that had the opportunity to make a difference but haven't ceased it i.e. TT with Raptor will again miss the boat.
Synergy has a reputation for robust, durable and a desirable N9 in the .90 sector and I'm sure the N5 will focus on this core elements and embed its brand into the .50 sector.
I'll make a prediction that the Synergy N5 / ElyQ and if it comes soon the Beam 50 will make the flying fields look more balanced by the end of this year.
Now we've got an idea what this heli is like in the flesh and do-doubt more video's will follow - not necessarily on here that's purely Matt's choice - I'm always happy to help where I can to get the news out.
The first poll had two variables subject to viewing in flesh and vid - but the video may have swayed changes in views. So I've added a new poll to this one.
Yup like most its mainly align where I fly as well .. apart from me .. I fly a Rappy and a K3D ( only one round here with one as well hehe ) .. I hope it does go up against align .. and like most have said the ElyQ is coming along nicely as well by the looks of it .. and its cheap as chips as well ...
Guys, lets not forget Align helis have helped make our hobby more affordable and allowed many to get flying for a reasonable sum with very good machines. Maybe not perfect but very good value.
I think the N5 is aimed at those that actually have the skills to appreciate the difference in flight characteristics and performance vs cost of the kit and parts (like the Vibe 50).
Great video, great flying and a very capable looking machine. Its gonna be an interesting year thats for sure!
Without a doubt Pete, but, and its a big but, Align have conditioned people to think that all helis should be the same or cheaper in terms of pricing. So many people are of the opinion that if its more expensive than the equivalent Align, its over-priced.
I do agree though, i think this year is going to be an interesting one for sure!
