If I remember correctly the main gear on its own was about £54 which is astronomical on its own !

I think it looks awesome! I'd defo have the one with the boom if it weren't for two things, it'll probably be too expensive and parts will be silly money and if it's anything like the one my mate has he's had asome worrying quality issues to boot.

I love the look of this one, looks wise it's the most exciting model I've seen to date. And it's good to see a optional boom cover that doesn't look like it's bolted on as an afterthought.
The two part canopy sounds like it'll be a lot less fiddly, looking forward to seeing more of this.Helis: Oxy 2 FE / Oxy 2 Sport / Protos 380 / Oxy 4 Max / Gaui X3 380mm

With the front part being relatively small as well it should be really quick to fit.Originally posted by ROSSCO View PostHi Tim,
The front canopy section has the same fixing system as the N7 with the front having quick location slide 'n' lock and the rear portion having the quick release pin lock system. It has been designed for quick canopy removal and battery change with the sliding tray mechanism.
Hope this helps,
Cheers,
Ross
In the specs it says Triple panel canopy system, I wonder what the third panel is?
Maybe that refers to the version with the boom cover, with that being the third part.
I think the shape is growing on me, it looks pretty good in the front on views.
Tim.

Imagine the color combinations you can do with this one
I am sure fusuno will come out with a single piece canopy for this,
style is very similar to KDS, would like to see its guts...

I guess I am on the fence about the looks. On the one hand I like seeing new and different things and they're re-thinking the whole canopy setup, but the result isn't the most elegant thing around. It's interesting though.Kasama, Minicopter, Henseleit, JR, Shape, Beam

3 part canopy - 2 at the rear (1 each side) and the other is the front part I think.Originally posted by Toolman View PostTriple panel canopy system, I wonder what the third panel is?

I like it, different and that's refreshing. Does anyone remember the comments SAB got when they released the first goblin 700? look at them now!
766 could be a good equivelent to the Logo 700 XXtreme and the new logo 700 but built to withstand a knock or two, i have withnessed and i'm sure some of you will agree that the logo 700 xxtreme simply explodes when it hits the deck with it's waffer thin frames.
Just my 0.02p.... a single canopy giving it a more traditional look would be welcome though.

^^ Ouch. I think I just crossed the 700 XXtreme of my "must own at some point" list of helis.
What I like best about this 766, is the 3x piece canopy. With a little finesse and colour choice, I bet you could get the join to be almost seamless, like how Align's Speed fuselages are where they meet the boom cover.
I wonder if SAB will be "inspired by" (or steal) the idea, as Goblin canopies aren't the easiest things to get on and off.Current fleet: Goblin Thunder Sport (700), Trex 700L, Logo 600, Specter 700, Henseleit TDR, V-Baaa control.
Next heli: I have pretty much everything I want. Maybe I'll upgrade some electronics or something.
