Joking aside, it does sound like a useful feature - though you have to wonder if it's as sensitive to static as the Spektrum Rxs seem to be...
Do you know how it detects static ?Yes, it's th@ tw@ Scallyb@...

wasnt static, my g5 has never had static, plus the belt isnt dry, got friction free luby stuff on it, so never even a blip, it wasnt a brown out, lock out, think it was mechanical, i had control over everything except the tail, how else did i get back to the floor!! lol!!! and paste to me sounds bad, specailly when it dries outs and gets a build up!!!! not good if you ask me, the servo was a year old 9560 so it was more than likely that because i was giving the tail some abuse before it happened, you worrying to much, shit happens sometimes!! lol!!

I'm sure you're right - I certainly worry too much...Originally posted by troubledpetey View Postwasnt static, [...]
Just for completeness:
Not all lubes help. Silicon/PTFE ones may well make it worse, as they're insulators. (Though they're good in other respects.)
A static hit could potentialy disable a gyro, meaning you lost just the tail. IIRC the later DS760 firmware has a quick init facility to deal with this (a bit like Spektrum's QC) - suggesting they think a gyro re-init is a possibility.Yes, it's th@ tw@ Scallyb@...

this one is designed to take away friction, no friction as you know means no static, plus my gyro light was still on when i picked her up, am just putting it down to mech faliure, the tail was stuck when i checked over but that could of bin the crash, who knows!!! lol!!! on the bright side im glad all ive done for the last month is piro control practice becoz tha what saved me from what could of bin a nasty crash because i was bout 30ft up when it happened!!!!!
