yes its 8mm spindle. to go 600mm you would of course need a the belt. i believe its 5mm pitch same as the raptor so you might be able to use a raptor 50 belt but i havnt had a chance to compare them.

I was just wondering if the model was suitable for being stretched to 600mm blades in the same way the Logo 500/600 have the same basic frame but longer boom/belt etc.

If the Outrage 550 is noticeably lighter than a Trex 600E, then stretching an Outrage 550 to 600mm should end up being lighter than a Trex 600E also.

For those that don't see the cost of batterys as much of an issue then running an Outrage on 8s and 600mm blades maybe an interesting combo. Or those users that already have Knight 600E or Trex 600E running on 8s, it gives another model option to strap there packs in.

Looking at the frame setup you could space the lower frames out to allow bigger packs to fit?

Just started the build....all the choices on this programable head are amazing

Gone for the 'faster sensitive reaction' setting on the flybar carriage



And the 'start here first' middle setting on the seesaw

with the 6s 5000packs the 550 comes out at around 3.2kg depending on equipment used obviously.

2x 4s 3700 packs fit in the frames easily, i have a feeling the revo 4200 fit too.

so yes its light, and yes 600 size packs fit.

mine came out at only just over 3kg all up with a 5000 pack.....as Ade says, it depends on equipment used.

That's easy.

It's to make sure you can't ever get cheesium screws undone without cutting the heads off and/or resorting mole-grips...

Outer frames fitted with lovely stand-offs....i like the way the spacers on the inner frame impart strength to the outer stand-offs

Had a chat to Rupert at Blink (where i got the 550 kit from)....what a nice guy.

Ordered a Scorpian 4020 - 1390 (to go with my CC HV-85) and three Inolab HG-D760-MG's servos

I've got a second hand 401 but don't know whether to treat myself to a Spartan he he???
