Sure makes a nice sound! Although that cow clearly could care less! Lol

What HS are you running on that?

The only thing I don't like on that heli is the plastic blade grips! Are they genuine parts for that heli??

Not exactly sure of the head speed, Acording to the manual running 6s with the 15t pinion should be giving me 3000rpm but im going to put the tacho on it tomorrow night to check.
Yeah plastic blade grips are the standard part, I think you can get metal upgrades but not sure i will bother to be honest.

Another 4 of my made up packs through the Protos tonight and it just keeps feeling better and better all the time, Getting a bit more confident with it now and pulled off a couple more moves i usually do with the 450 as well, Even managed a not bad tic toc with it
This thing is sooooooooo stable in the air its nuts, I can fly it round nice and gently or if i start stick bashing it really comes alive

Tacho'd the headspeed tonight as well and was reading 2900rpm at 90% flat curve

Im sooooo happy with it im even toying with getting the Mini Protos insted of re-building my 450Pro that had an un-expected meeting with the ground the other night.

I saw the mini-protos. Looks like a nice heli! They have a Protos 700 coming out soon I believe. Keen to see more vids of the 500 being put through it's paces though

I've got a Protos 500 too and think they are great. For some reason they don't get the respect they deserve but you'll only have to hear one come by flat out to want one - the noise alone wins it for me.

This is my fave model in Phoenix. I have to say it looks the nuts. Would be interested in crash costs as I thought they may be quite pricey. Plastic is fine, look at Logo's and they are one of the best flying models around, so say all the Logo pilots anyway .

crashes should be cheaper on the protos than on a trex 500. The blade grips are very cheap being plastic, and the carbon frames are very strong. All the other parts are roughly the same as on a 500 last time I checked. I'll probably find out soon enough lol
