          Nice one Rob Looks amazing.

The packs, are they not a pita to mount seeing as they hang and are attached with O Rings? You dont even have the option to use velcro if you chose to.

Regarding the battery installation there will be the option of a sliding battery tray arrangement available soon.

Hi John, good to hear from you.

I did not use thread lock on the first side so that I could build it straight, then I add it after it is all snugged up. There was no way to get those frames to lie flat! Only a bit out, but I was not happy to try and twist it out, and rely on the bolts to hold it under tension. All is good now though.

There are a couple of delrin bars at the bottom that you slide your packs onto, and then just hook the O rings onto one side, and pull them up onto the other side. Holds it very well, but with cold fingers, it will be fun!!

My packs are in 12s sticks, so much easier to load. It would be very easy and simple to make a sliding tray fit, or even a tray that locates at the back, and locked at the front.

Very nice job with the thread Rctintin. It's nice to see it being built again with fresh pics. I see it come with a snazy new box, not the brown cardboard one we used to get.
I was wondering about the amount of anodising removed from the tail boom, it was not clear from the pic if you removed enough of it to come in contact with the boom holding clamp and if you removed some from the tail end?
Did you mount the servos with the rubber grommets or did you get hold of some large enough eyelets? I hard mounted mine and it works fine.
You can use velcro to mount the packs. I have applied velcro to the entire surface of one side of the battery plate and velcro on the batteries. They attach to the plate and go in with little trouble. The hold in place with the O rings.

Ah the ubiquitous Trex towel as used in mine too.

First of all a great build thread Rob, excellent well done.

Good points. = Very impressed with some of the finer details they have designed, belt tensioner, drive chain, tail box.

Bad Points = Not impressed by having to dremel frame parts on a new kit, and these were not minor changes you did by the pictures but rather big ones looking at it. Also having to heat head parts up in the oven, not something I'm used to when building kits.?

Quite frankly though I do like the kit and IMO Ross did the right thing letting you build it, I would have been disappointed having to make those changes in the build.

Ross will receive a 100% really nice helicopter.

Regarding cutting out the frame for access to the Micro SD card I've got hold of one of these for my setup to hopefully make access easier.

Don't know at the moment about trimming anywhere else to fit my servo's etc until I start with the build.

I also questioned whether to use the kosmik originally Tim as I was made clearly aware the frames would need enlarging to access the sd card etc, but after using the kosmik on my rush, the gains clearly outwayed the cons.
