Align 730mx in to 550sx, is it possible?

Both of my 730MX's were obtained second hand, both seems to have been Threadlocked and tightened to high heaven... Getting the pinion off one of these motors to even get started is going to be hard work... (And i almost just resorted to ordering the Pyro now but i cant find it in stock lol)

Heat it up (starting at the grub screw) with a soldering iron and it should come off quite easily. Just don't burn yourself.

Ps. I Order my pyros direct from kontronik, quick and usually cheaper!

Yeah already tried the heat into the grub, enough to heat the whole pinion from the grub... No joy, on either of them (there is 2), and the best hex key i have locks in well but the handle is turning on the shaft :/

Think i'll be getting the drill out at the weekend... lol

Nylon bolts is a given, have got a bag of them anyways I'll get the anti static kit ordered

Don't waste your money on the anti static kit , just use a self tapper into the boom front in between the boom clamping bolts ( ill do a picture later) and then attach a wire to it which then you connect (solder) to your negative wire on your battery . its very simple and doesn't cost money. Im doing mine the weekend so Ill post some picture for you .

If heating the grub doesn't work (presumably to release the thread lock?) you might have to heat the entire pinion, It's likely that threadlock has gone off between the pinion and shaft too so be prepared for a fight once you have the grubs out. I had to put the pinion in the softjaws of a vice and rotate the shaft until it came out.

Yeah... It still flies great just less crash resistant. I'm sure they must be running out old stock.
