Heres some pics
This is how it looked when I first got the heli home. There was some damage to the right hand rear frame where the tail boom fits in. So that part of the frame has to be replaced. Still some fuel left in the main tank.

Engine out

Strip down started, loads of dust and oil. It had been sat in a shed for about 10 years or more

Main shaft removed ready for stripping down

The front servo tray took some cleaning off. All the old electrics have been boxed up, they may be of some use in another project later

There will be some more later on for you all as the wife is wanting the laptop
Enjoying working on this little project, I just wish I had the cash to move it on a bit faster

Yeah will be putting all new electrics in. So will be keeping an eye out for an rx and gyro for it in the coming months. It will fly again one day all ready looking forward to flying it. The engine will take a bit of cleaning up as it has a lot of burnt on fuel on it. Looks like it has run way way to lean. Have just got the old fuel out the tank and its just thick oil now. All been well I will get the head stripped down this week, thats if my son lets me lol.
If you would like the mechanical gyro you can have it fellaLast edited by AJ Jelly; 17-07-2011, 08:22 PM.

yeah - when i saw it, i was slightly disappointed as the flybar rod's rusted among others and the tail fin has broken and was glued back in... not the perfect condition heli i expected but i know it was never flown much as he's only into tail in hovering and didn't fly it much as he used to buy helis almost every 2 months or something.

Its stalled a little bit for now fella. I lost my job 5 weeks ago so I had no cash to put in to it, could only really clean and redo bits I already had kicking about. However I am back in work now and am waiting for my first pay day. So thing will get back on track when I get the bills all payed up. I have done some more since the last lot of pics, so will try and get them up for you later on

At least the old burnt on fuel has come off the crank case and head
