So the mighty Kasama has been made better?
Whats wrong with the first one?
Id be a bit annoyed that id just spent a grand on a heli only to find out that its not top of the tree.

i would not say annoyed at all , i like the look ,feel and the way the heli is built and if it can made better im intrested. the kit i have is a 2010 kit and although to the eye you would not be able to see the differance there is already quite a bit of change in it compaired to the 2009 kits list below
SRIMOK 90N 2010 version are improved follow the list below:

1. KSM10-T09 Tail boom support Drive: Make more thickness on top.
2. KSM10-C01 Swash plate : Change material from 6061 to 7075 at Swash plate base.
3. KSM10-C01 Swash plate :Change Spherical bearing from IKO to ELGES.
4. KSM10-F17 Engine Damper support: Change to KSM10-F31 Adjustable engine mount.
5. KSM10-T18 Service cap tail gear box: Make bigger hexagon.
6. KSM20-TS04 Hexagon start coupling: Change to KSM20-TS10 Starter coupling (Hexagon joint).
7. KSM20-TS06 Starter shaft(OS): Change to KSM20-TS11 Starter shaft OS (Hexagon head).
8. KSM20-TS07 Starter shaft (YS): Change to KSM20-TS12 Starter shaft YS (Hexagon head).
9. KSM10-90H02 Main rotor grips (3mm): Change to KSM10-90H08 Main rotor grips set 4mm screw lock
10. KSM10-90H02 Arm grip (3mm):Change to KSM10-90H09 Arm grips blade 4mm screw lock
11. Throttle control rod 50mm (share with KSM20-C09):Change to KSM20-C10 Throttle control rod 60mm.

it will be intresting to see what els has been inproved,and its nice also to know that some one is taking the time to improve a already beautifull heli
its not always about the money if you think the srimok is exspencive go have a look at a pylon racer at least you get to rebuild the heli if it goes in ,no second chances with a pylon racer

Makes you wonder why they need to bring out a mark 2,maybe its just cosmetics/how it looks or will there be some major changes?

No the mark 2 is need to upgread to mark 1 really. Mark II is cheaper than mark one. One thing I know so far is G10 frame and plastic landing gear. Can't tell you more. We will see..........

Nooooo... Thats almost criminal!

The skids are a pain, but im more than happy to live with it, having them twice as thick would have been a better option.

I think it's great that the best are continually striving to improve on their design rather than sit there and leave it unchanged for ages.

And if it's cheaper will make it even more popular than it is already. Their following has increased dramatically in the last 6 months so it looks like they are trying to improve this also.

Defo interesting to see what they are changing over the kit already.

G10 frames They did not look all that good on the N5 so why are they doing that on this??

G10 is actually a better frame material than CF from a vibration damping point of view - the Eco version of the Nitro will be launched in Thailand on 20-AUg and will be just a more affordable version of the present model so not really a Mk II. AFAIK it will include the Faifa nylon struts, single piece rudder tail pushrod like on the Faifa and didn't know about the G10 frames though I know Kasama likes the material !!
