AFAIK it will include the Faifa nylon struts, single piece rudder tail pushrod like on the Faifa and didn't know about the G10 frames though I know Kasama likes the material !!

CUrrently the frames and struts are CF - skids are polished ali

G10 is fine. I think it's just as effective as carbon on heli frames just maybe doesn't look as pretty.

I was sure someone told me that Align carbon frames are actually G10 with a bonded carbon fibre covering.

For anyone interested in buying a Srimoks and fcurrent owners, the idea of making the Srimok more affordable can surely only be a good thing.

Had a chance to look at the new version of the nitro last week - the G10 frames look nice and seem to handle as well as the CF. There was very little fuel foaming so maybe the G10 absorbs vibration better than CF. At this stage Kasama plans to have the 'Eco' version with G10 frames, stainless steel links, single tail pushrod and nylon U/C struts at a slightly cheaper price. For those who like the looks of the nylon struts a full featured version will be offered as an alternative to the existing flagship which will continue to be avilable for those who thing CF struts are a must ~!!!

At this stage production is heavily geared up to get the Faifa rolled out to meet demand and Kasama wants to tweak the frames a little more and ensure the G10 is STILL durable after a few hundred flights so I guess we won't see it in the shops this year

Curious that they show an FAI one with NO flybar - I might be wrong here but FBL unless pure i.e. no electronics vbar/beastx etc etc.

Are not allowed under FAI rules.

As said maybe somethings changed in the last 12mths - though I'd be surprised if this was the case.
                  Cheers

Stuart, your not confusing FAIFA (Fai means electric in Thai) with FAI are you?

Couldn't see anything on their website about FAI F3C.

It's really weird how things don't click sometimes. I thought, like Stuart, that it referred to FAI up until your post. The strange thing is that I speak Thai and have always called electric helicopters 'helicopter fai fa' when speaking in Thai. I just never made the link.

MAybe we'd better use Thai script to avoid confusion - literally Fai-fa means electricity-from-the-sky

Your right - maybe some better choice in the naming of the heli would be better suited also the canopy style also gave the impression as more sleeker akin to FAI format so I was even more suckered into looking at the the heli as being F3C orientated.

My fault not upto speed with Thia wording..
