When I looked previously the spares prices weren't that much higher than Trex700 spares on the things you're likely to break in a crash. Unless they've gone up significantly. I'm sure the carbon boom as an example was about £21 for the TDR and about £19.50 for the 700.

I've sent him a message asking to see the contents of the box.

Surely no one is going to buy a £1,300 cardboard box without seeing what's inside!

And it wouldnt be the first time that happened on Ebay too.

I think cash on collection would be needed on an item this much, for anyone who is prepared to pay that much over retail price.!!

Ben, the Kasama was £1000 when it came out. It is only lower now because no one bought it, and spares are a worry.

TDR spares are not a mile away from any 90 size machine. Have a look on Jan's site, all the prices are there.

Srimok E was £800 when it came out and it's always been $1040 but now is $1000 direct iirc and spares can be had from all over Europe inc Germany like the TDR

It's like the tdr in a way that not many will buy it due to its increased price and parts prices. But those off us who do buy them do not worry about parts prices or it would be a waste of time buying them as you won't enjoy them. When I see James TDR rip up the skies it looks friggin awesome just I can't afford to have that as well

Yeah it was the original nitro Kasama I remember being £999.00.

Not that it makes any odds, just pointing out that the TDR is not as expensive as some may think.

Your right about the extra charge to use Paypal. That was €25, so the kit just cost me €980+20+25 = €1025.00 = Aprox £885.00

This answer is directed at every potential purchaser.

Thanks for the interest. I totally appreciate the question but the kit is still factory sealed so I don't envisage any problems with whats in the box. I would like to keep it that way for the potential purchaser as guarantee of it being an unopened and totally original kit and not one someone has broken into for spares and or replaced parts to sell etc... Back up from Henseleit will remain if any parts are missing as it remains in its unopened state. The canopy was ordered in white with a blue comet decal and anthracite window. I currently have another of these heli's which I fly. The one for sale (the new one) was NOT bought to resell but my circumstances have changed. I believe the model is truly worth the asking price when you take into consideration the length of time it takes to get hold of one. I'm not short of money, just time, so please respect my option to sell this model for the asking price to whoever wants not to wait on the list. Many thanks.

Well if your not short of money why are you trying to make a massive profit out of people who do this for enjoyment ! That's just being greedy ! Part of the enjoyment of buying the TDR is the anticipation of it arriving !

but i agree - he shot himself on the foot there by selling he's not short of money.
but it was a fair enough reply from him tho regarding not opening the box.

IMO Jan should raise the price 200% and waiting time to about a year or more and request 2 references from TDR owners to prove we are worthy buying . More people would want it to get a feel of exclusivity, which is all what TDR is about.

Recent high end helis which can be bough off the shelf (Kasama, some Logos, Synergy, Whiplash and probably Goblin) have as good design as TDR (just bit different), can be bought without waiting, some of them are even bit cheaper and have spare support which won't end if Jan suddenly decides to switch his business to gardening.

Just playing a little bit of devil advocate here It's great helicopter, but I have a feeling that many people buy it just to show off (I have seen a picture where one bloke had like 3 or 4 of them in a display case in his living room - looked quite cool!)

Im not sure I see the problem here tbh. He paid for it with his own money and he is entitled to try and sell it for whatever he thinks is reasonable. If somebody is stupid enough to pay over the odds for it rather than wait then thats also their choice.

If both buyer and seller are are happy with the transaction then I don't think its any body else's business. If the asking price is too much it wont sell.
