  • Blade MCP-X I want one...

Just seen the post on Facebook by fastlads about the Blade MCP-X looks like a collective pitch MSR

A bit bigger looking here Blade mCP X BNF Heli... - RC Groups but this looks like it could be a fun next step from the MSR.

Looks good ! Eflite's done it again, first made my mcx redundant by the msr, now it looks like my msr will end up redundant too !

245mm rotor diameter? Isn't that quite a bit larger than an MSR?

It's in between the two really. 120SR is 300mm I think. But remember the 120SR is a FP, this is a smaller CP heli, rivals the Walkeras but able to use your Spektrum TX. Just what I was after.

So TREX bring out a little TREX 100 as compitition to the mSR, Then E-Flite bring out a small Collective Pitch SR, Wonder whats coming next. This could get more interesting

Sorry if i seem like im peeing on the bonfire here, but won't it be really difficult to fly being CP and that small? I mean isn't the msr/mcx/sr designed for stability. And a CP heli with a tail motor, mmm. If it was belt driven I might of had one.

It's not going to be easy no, but I'm guessing that with it being FBL they will have tuned the 3 axis gyro to make it a bit easier that you'd expect. I know Walkera have been selling CP micro helis for a long time, and although they're not easy to fly they do give you the chance to do your 3D flying indoors.

I'm not so bothered about the 3D aspect yet, but making it CP must mean it'll be closer to flying a larger outdoor CP. It'll probably be better than a sim for those that get bored looking at a screen.

Oh and from what I can see, it comes with some blades with weights on to tone it down to begin with as well.
