The mCPX BL in stock form definitely does tend to wag a little in gentler moves. While you're not doing 3D yet it may be worth setting up your idle up curves on your transmitter and trying them, those consistent throttle rates do work well on the BL. You could even setup idle up 1 to something like 60% throttle which will give it a nice gentle headspeed and calm it down.
You don't need to use idle up 1 & 2 for 3D, they can be tweaked for any kind of flying you like, even just to experiment with different throttle values and find which one feels more comfortable to fly.
If you feel like fiddling, there is also a way to adjust the tail gain on the mCPX BL. It's not something I ever did, but then I was mainly doing 3D so just lived with the occasional tail wag in a hover. But for your flying you might find that turning the tail gain down a little helps calm that wag down:
