700x build

I have just built my 700x up over the past week. Had fun building it and im happy with how it all went together and the quality of it. Its a really neat heli. I just need ESC and batteries now as its my first electric over 450 size.















Only problem with it so far is that the linkage lengths in the manual do not bring the servo arms 90 degrees at centre pitch. But i have the measurements to correct this.

Thats what iv been told. Im going to try and get all of the head set up before i get my batteries.

I seriously cannot wait. I love my 450x so i can only imagine what the 700 is like. What sort of flight times do you get out if it? Are you using the ar7200? And what Tx are you using? Hopefully i can steal some setup values from you

I've got my timer set for 5 mins and the packs have anything from 35 to 40% left in them depending on how I fly. I decided not to use the BeastX as I'm kind of standardising on the Vortex VX1/VX1n across all my helis. The BeastX though is pretty easy to setup for any heli. There's loads of people who use it and know how to configure it.

Do you fly in a club?

Thats the same with me and the beastx. I use it on the 450x, i have set one up on my trex 600n and now this, but i am going to try and get this one perfect! I was hoping i could steal some gain values from you as a starting point but never mind. And no i dont i just fly with a friend, we are learning off of each other. I am thinking of joining one nearby though

Definitely join a club! Richie Clarke is flying his 700x with the AR7200 and stock setup ... He might to be able to offer some advice.

Recieved my castle edge 160a esc and turnigy batteries today. Test fitted it all and it seems well balanced. Just need some 8mm bullets and a lead making up for my batteries. Cannot wait to get it flying

can I ask what type of tubing you've used to cover the servo leads it looks rubbery compared to braid ?

Just need the final pieces and i can set it up! Will the 12s be ok plugging straight into the esc?
