And you can get seconds of the aligns to they are even cheaper, however I have no idea for the fitment of these, but a mate of mine did run align blades on this 400 3D. I would say youll probably be fine but worth checking first!

Last time they popped up on align-trex i bought 3 sets ... just under £9 a pair ... which is a bargain in anyones book .... to say they're seconds its almost impossible to see why ... i think on mine just a could of the letters has slight (talking 1mm at most) missing spots on the edges .... they weren't quite balanced but only very slightly out (maybe 1/2 gram?)

The seconds from align-trex.co.uk are pretty minor cosmetic blemishes and ideal for practicing with

Do the ALIGN 325D 3G CARBON FIBER BLADES (HD320D) need shims or do they fit straight into the Blade 450X blade holders?

They need shims, but then so do the stock EFlite blades! The stockers come with shims, and out of the box, the installed blades have shims in there. They just don't show much against the black CF.

You can get much cheaper blades from Hobbyking. I have been using them for a year, hovering only. They are quite all right until they hit the ground.

The align 325D's 3G one are alot cheeper and work ok to a point, but try to be to agressive with them and it creates bounce on the heli, they are to light really, the best i have found are the revolution 325 fbl blades, more expensive at 22 quid but still over ten quid less than blades ones and suit the heli better being slightly heavier

This is my first 450 sized heli (MCPX only until now) so I won't be stressing it for some time yet so I am sure that the 325D 3G's will be fine for me for a while to get used to the heli hovering, basic circuits and FFF... but I do take your point. Many thanks.
