  • Novice settings?

Got me self a nice new Blade 450x
I want to tame it down a lot while I practice circuits/nose etc. Any settings I can use for my Transmitter/BeastX?
    Thanks!

I use 60% on rates and 20% expo on aileron and elevator. Makes it quite docile without it actually being asleep.

Now you got me. I use a DX8 transmitter. I'm sure there's vids on youtube to help.

Oh, I also have pitch curve set 50-50-50-75-100% as well. I found the negative pitch they had on normal led to me dropping too fast for comfort below 50% stick.

        That's on normal btw.

If you use transmitter expo and dual rates you need to set the beastx to use the transmitter settings. I believe this is the default on a stock 450x, worth checking though. Not sure which option it is though.

It is default but good heads-up as I'd forgotten that. Probably because it is the default setting, hehehe

It destroyed it's motor and the resultant crash broke a few things. I have an Align T-rex 450 now. Very pleased with the Align. The 450X donated its AR7200BX to my Align 500elf.

So basically all its worth is the AR7200BX

Not quite. The repair costs plus retail cost of AR7200BX made it worth while for ME I love my 500.

However, for a first time 450 owner the Blade 450X is ideal. There are plenty out there that haven't had a motor bearing failure, I was just unlucky.

                    The 450X flew well.

I've had no issues at all with mine. Only complaint is that the stock (CF) blades are all-black so become practically invisible at times. Probably going to replace with some white ones ...

Perfect machine for that is the 130X IMHO ..... I'm learning inverted stuff on it and it handles beautifullly. With long enough grass, it bounces amazingly well too!
