I guess I was lucky, my Blade flew straight out of the box without any dramas at all. The first bit of work I did on it was after about 15 flights when I had a minor blade strike.

Mine flew fine straight out of the box too - they are meant to be test flown at the factory (although not known if with the same TX or not) so I can't imagine much (if any) work needed to get the Blade flying. Are we all doing initial flights with the original program on the DX6i or one of the "softened" setups?
I made a copy of the original settings and used those as a basis rather than reprogramming from blank.

I stuck with the original settings in the TX. Admittedly I had been flying a Honey Bee FP sporadically for a couple of months so wasn't a full noob and I reckoned that I was best off getting used to the sensitive controls from the start. So far so good-50 flights or there abouts and only one small blade strike (tail caught in the grass I think).Fusion 50 FBL, vBar, 9180/8s, HeliJive, Compass 6HV head, Quantum 4135, 12s, Emcotec SPS

Bought mine at New Year from Daniel Stores for £205 delivered.....
Have hovered it once, would not have said it was RTF.. but it was close. Needed some trimming. The tracking was miles out, and with no expo it was the proverbial balancing a ball bearing on a plate syndrome. ( But all good fun.) One last thing the stock battery lasted the one flight and some charging during my setting up and fiddling on it then it shows a charging error on my bro's Graupner 16-S.

Strange mine came from Daniels too and my battery is duff too but luckily had another one with me for my first trial flight today, As I haven’t flown helicopters before I had the training gear on and had set the TX with some expo copied off a YouTube video, first time light on the training gear it tipped to the right so I put in some trim and the did manage tentatively too get it off the ground a couple of inches but I wasn’t really in control… still its still in one piece and ready for next weekend. I too will order some extra batteries.

To begin with just try a hop. Off the ground a few inches and straight back down before it gets a chance to roll or pitch.

Hi I would defo go through the set up. Follow some of the youtube vids and you wont be far out. My brothers wanted to tip over too, to be honest they defo need set up level. If you do this it will be easier to get going with.Originally posted by Bungy15 View PostStrange mine came from Daniels too and my battery is duff too but luckily had another one with me for my first trial flight today, As I haven’t flown helicopters before I had the training gear on and had set the TX with some expo copied off a YouTube video, first time light on the training gear it tipped to the right so I put in some trim and the did manage tentatively too get it off the ground a couple of inches but I wasn’t really in control… still its still in one piece and ready for next weekend.
