hi everyone
my first big to me heli,im still a CP learner but i wanted to treat myself to something i could see and work on better...first newbie mistake, i spooled the 300 in my small living room, jeez the noise my hands started slipping off the dx with sweat in 5 seconds flat, keep calm i said to myself and concentrate..so much for talking to myself, it hit my wicker basket
now let me fast forward you to my LHS were i needed blades, blade grips main shaft and main gear i had only been there a hour ago buying the dam thing..
have to look at the positives i guess, i can now rebuild a 300x well almost my first build had the tail doing a dance i had somehow twisted the belt so tail rotor was spinning the wrong way... i've also learnt to never to spool up in a bungalow (this can happen if you live alone) just gone outside for a test and all was well but i had a boom shake /tail wag, not much but enough to spoil poise in the air...had a look around the forums and giro gain seems to be one thing to try if all mechanical things were ok and my friends i have to say it works, lowered it to 70 and its now solid as a rock.this has been my 300x story
Thanks for listening
ted
