  • Servo Cleaning

    Hi All,

I have seen many post on here regarding the cleaning of servo's. A few products have been named on helifreak but I can seem to find them in the UK.

I have looked on the Maplins site.

Would this stuff be ok to clean the servoes without taking them apart (Mainly thinking of the front servo)

Contact Cleaner : Electronics Cleaners : Maplin Electronics

    or this stuff

    Contact Cleaner : Maplin Electronics

Any help/thoughts on this would be appriciated.

    Cheers,

    Fred

I use this Caig Squeeze Tube Essentials Kit K-2C for cleaning the servos on my mcpx. The first clean lasted approx 3 months and subsequent cleans have lasted a few weeks. I open the servos to clean them so I can use red and gold on the metal fingers and strips and fader on the carbon strip. I've had those little tubes for about 6 months and I'm about half way through them so they work out pretty cheap in the long run.
