130x will not enter gain adjust mode

Hi guys.

So to try and cure the shakes that my 130x has (gone through all the other fixes) I thought I might try and lower the gain on the tail by using the hidden gain adjust mode. I found a few helpfull step by step vids along with info on here showing me exactly how to do it, the only problem is my 130x wont do it!

I turn on the tx as instruced, i set the throttle to high (not using throttle hold) and plug in the heli battery. This is where it goes wrong, instead of the multi coloured flashing light everybody else gets, my heli simply gives the usual solid blue. When I move the right stick around, instead of being able to cycle through adjustments, the cyclic servos simply move around!

Mine is a dairly early version if that makes any difference?

Any help on this would be great.

Have you got dual rates enabled that stops full throttle from giving 100% output to the heli?

If you have not got 100% on the top of your throttle curve it won't?

Ahh so I would need idle up mode 2 then in that case as normal and 1 only give up to 75‰.

I just leave my normal throttle curve as linear as i don't fly it in normal.

You can just program point 5 of your normal to 100 to play with gains.

Well that worked! I dont know if it flies any better as its too dark now. It has a very nasty shimmy thats gets so bad in fast forward flight it become very difficult to control. It has always had a bit of a waggly tail, a good clean of the tail servo calmed it down but this latest shimmy seems to be on the aileron as well as the tail.

It might just be a case of too many hard crashes! (Lots and mostly on concrete!) So it may be just something i'll have to put up with until its tike to find its replacement.

the tail on mine is a bit wafty could some one send me a link to the video please also are you doing the same swash o ring mod as the mcpx?

yup. Mine had a real bad shudder when descending in negative collective. The upgraded O rings remove much of the slop from the swash assembly and fixed that issue in mine. Its a reasonable guess that your shimmy in FFF could be the same issue.

Hmmmm....sounds like it might be worth a shot! It does it mostly as its picking up speed and is especially bad when coming to a stop and descending.
