Thanks for the links Tom. Not had the TT out myself Nick but wouldn't put it past HH QC not putting it in the correct way. Will have to whip it all out and have a look. Need to check the boom after that heavy crash today

TT was in the right way round. Got the whole thing in bits now. The tail case is glued to the boom Looks like the crashes have taken its toll on the poor thing. I have had some real heavy landings. TT is slightly bent, boom is split, tail gear that sits on TT is rounded. Could that be why my TT is sliding, the rounded gear? I am going to use a little CA when I rebuild it.

Don't use CA glue on that C gear - just replace it with a new one. The thing about a torque tube is that it connects the tail rotor directly to the main blades. If something (like grass) impedes the tail rotor on take off or landing -something will break as the main blades just won't stop that quickly If you glue the C gear, something else will break instead. The C gear is cheap and easy to replace, in fact you get a spare one with the kit. Buy loads! I'm pretty certain it's designed to be fairly weak, and to be the sacrificial lamb in the event of a hard landing.

The tail case shouldn't be glued to the boom - it's held on by the screw through the tail normally. I suspect your boom is slipping because it's split - you need to replace that (and the torque tube by the sound of it if you can't straighten it)

even with a bit of CA on it, it should give way 1st before anything else i my experience, if your using a metal A gear anyways.

depends how far down its been glued but u may be able to get that off with a stanley blade.

That's just not right IMO. Trouble is, now you've obviously crashed it a few times, you can't really argue that wil HH too well. Anyway, the if the boom is split, you've got to buy a new one anyway. Buy yourself a tail case at the same time. The torque tube should fit perfectly such that just enough protrudes at each each to lock onto the B and C gears. If that is moving, is sounds like the boom was pushed in too much to either the main frame, or tail case anyway (maybe that's why it was glued?). That would probably explain the excessive wear on the A gear too.

If HH replace the main board however, and you replace the tail boom etc. you should have it all sorted!

i wouldn't bother sending your board back if its the drifting that's just the problem, mine does it, sub trim it out and it'll fly fine its quite a common problem, there's a sticky on HF about it.

I have to trim it every time I plug a new LiPo in, it's annoying tbh. Just shopping for bits and see the extreme productions boom is much cheaper, these any good? Also there main blades are half the price.

Wasn't even aware they did a tail boom. They do tail boom supports? Blades are very good, but you need the O rings. I would send the 3-in-1 back. You've paid £150(ish) - for that, you should have a working heli IMO.

The 3in1 is definitely going back. Like you say paid for a brand new heli, expect it to be working properly. Poor thing isn't looking so new now tho Better to be crashing the 130 than the 400!

ah right mine was just a case of setting the sub trim once and that's it done, hopefully the new one they send u doesn't do it, my board was a replacement.

Set it once, I can deal with. Just want to try and fly the thing and have to trim the allerion and rudder every time!

All sorted, HH replaced 3in1 and it's all good. Now rebuilt with some extras.
