130X is still so good...

Had a spare 30mins today so took the MCPX BL and 130x to the park. Snapped the swash on the MCPX on the second flight clipping a tree ( luckily had a spare so all fixed ) so flew the 130x then. Loved it! It's so stable and does what it's told without acting like an angry wasp ( 180cfx ).

While the 130x is flying right, its still damn good.

Yeah before my 180cfx fell out of the sky I have to say its an animal compared to the 130x. Still waiting for the replacement to arrive but from limited experience of the 180cfx I prefer flying the 130x.

I found a good way to tame the 180cfx down to fly a little more like the 130x is to reduce the pitch travel. I've got mine at 90/90 - effectively giving less collective pitch. It still has the power, but doesn't tend to dart over the sky at the slightest sneeze!

the 130 has had its day, they were great when they worked but they were filled with problems. the 180 is a massive improvement and will not need many upgrades like the 130 did, i recon this new heli will prove to be the one to have

Oh yeah the 130x has it's issues, my first one had a bad tail vibe that I couldn't fix. But this one is spot on. The 180 might be an improvement if you're a great pilot, but for an average sport pilot my experience so far suggests its too much.

Pete - reduce the pitch as I mention above in the "servo setup" menu - it'll make a world of difference, trust me!

Not a scooby! Just reduced the pitch. I know some others (real 3D gurus) had increased it, so figured reducing it might help someone a bit more basic like myself!

Well, in our club, there are (I think!) 7 or 8 people with the 180cfx. All but one think they're the best micro ... by miles.

I genuinely think this is the best micro ever made ...
