Jason, I don’t think that’s far off the pre install set up.....thanks

Rob (evorc) called last night and we chatted about the servos. I’ve currently positioned the elevator on the right had side of the frame and the tail servo (9257) to the left, now once the ESC is also in position, again on the left side of the frame, I’m slightly concerned about weight to the left. But there again I have seen pictures with this set up…

Rob advised elevator servo left and tail servo right, so I might have to rethink……nothing is in concrete and can be moved around but what are your thoughts especially as I would like the ESC on the left of the frame ?

      Hi Eddie,
As far as the ESC is concerned I didn't get on very well with the ESC in Gov mode so turned that off. Soft start is on.

I don't think it really matters which side you decide to put things on as long as you try to get it balanced as close as you can.
If one side has to be heavier than the other I try to make the left a little heavier as this tends to counter-act the natural tilt to the right that all helis have.
      Adrian.

I think I fitted my ESC on the left when the heli if viewed with the tail in to you because that is how I had seen it fitted. It suits the cables as they exit against the frame and "bounce" off it to exit out the right then under to the ESC (from memory).

I need to double check the ESC settings as I am now not sure about the gov mode

I do get some tail blow out at the moment from bogging, which I think is maybe a symptom of the gov or too much pitch. Again, I need to double check as I set it up well before Xmas, and a fair bit of beer has flowed since then LOL

Well the new Beam e4 is completely built and test flown to hover in Adrian’s kitchen! I have to give a huge thank you to Adrian (Machasm) who again at the drop of a hat helped me out with the setting up of the electrics and programming. As well as checking my handy work and correcting a few mistakes…..I think I would always recommend someone else to check over your built heli just in case you’ve missed anything or slightly got it wrong! Cheers Adrian you’re a star…

So as promised here are a few photographs of the finished beauty.

Looking great Eddie That fusuno canopy looks realy good... I think I am going to get myself one of them

A quick tip though, whilst they look great, I would take off the head button. When you crash and the blade grips rotate round, if they strike the button, they will result in a bent blade grip. Had the same problem on the Trex so now I dont bother. They arn't realy needed on a 450 anyway

I was after one but Rob only had the red ones in at the time so got one of them, then stuffed it in LOL

Just took delivery of a fusano one today. Bit miffed as I managed to drill the holes slightly wrong, so it is a bit off centre and points down a bit.

The fusuno is far better priced....
