    Hye.

I'm pretty sure it's a brownout, if the 3GX lights were flashing it's trying to tell you something. I have read that if the govenor isn't diabled when it's not being used that it can cause problems, but it will not go to full power on it's own.

As Red3 has said, my next question to you was going to be are you using an Align regulator and you are. Unfortunately while this is a good unit and works well, the conversion to FBL puts the servo's under more strain and as a result they will pull more current in flight. The Align unit is only rated to 6amps and each servo can pull 2+ amps, so the 3 eCCPM servo's alone can overpower the BEC, add on a fourth tail servo and 3 gyro's all working the servo's and you could be in trouble.
You can test this on the bench, power on and then cycle all channels really quickly and if it's anythign liek the recent stories on HF forum the sats will start blinking and so to will the 3GX as the power dips and your radio link fails.

The full revs is a failsafe problem, again it's easily checked and eliminated by turning on the model, and turning off the transmitter to simulate a loss in radio signal. If the throttle servo goes to full power then that is the answer.

As to a suitable regulator, ideally it needs to be rated to 8 amps or more for most FBL of this size and above. The ElyQ is quite a good one as it takes the current draw away from the 3GX (or any FBL unit) as the servos connect to it and get their power from a high amp output circuit. There are other makes which work in similar ways and take power demands away from the 3GX itself.

DOH! Silly me, I'm getting old
        Will edit above.

Got to be just a failsafe issue the throttling up, as you're not using the govenor are you of the 3GX?

Not sure of what you mead coolice, I bind it like this,
first bind plug in 3GX switch on. Radio DX8 set low throttle, all switches forward = neutral, Hold down BIND button / Switch on. = sats & 3GX bound / radio bound. Pull out bind plug switch heli off & radio.
Set up 3GX with laptop & disc & radio, remove laptop, rebind as above.

Nigel revel did the computer bit i really just followed

The governor wire is plugged into the 3GX
Radio is using governor settings on the radio.

              Morning mate.

              Sorry for the delayed reply.

After you'd completed the setup of the 3GX and setup the govenor, did you perform another rebind to teach the 3GX new failsafe positions with the govenor set? It's always advised to rebind once setup is complete, so that all controls are memorised working correctly etc.

With failsafe there are two options, the other one sees the user removing the bind plug before carrying on the procedure on the transmitter side by holding in the bind button and powering on the tx. This sets the user set fail safe positions for all channels, set by moving the sticks to the desired failsafe positions.
Ideal positions would be cyclic at neutral, motor to off/idle and collective at 0 degrees.

Well it took a long time to sort out but finaly did it fingers crossed. Haven't had time flying weather and other thins, but sorted it end of last year, been trying it ever since.
I use the align 2 in1 regulator & with a stroke of luck one day noticed the lights on it little tremma waggled the wires all seemed ok, did not fly it that day when at home on the bech prodded and porker & there was some thing def wrong with the switch, so striped it and there was fuel in side the switch not notable from out side, fitted a new one no bother since fingers crossed.

Thanks to all that gave me some help Thank You. .
