    Finally Given in!

    Well I have finally given in and bought an Align. Having exhausted pretty much most other brand Helis over the years and been caught out on many occasions with spares availability finally given in and bought a 700NDFC. Having seen the re enthusiasm Dentman has in the hobby after buying an outdated original 700N which by his accounts is tatty but its the first machine he will pick up and fly and most importantly have FUN. He's got and had a load of high end gear as well so I figured let's join in.

    Looking more closely at the DFCN now I have bought one it looks pretty good. Happy for any thoughts good/bad or recommendations about them.

    I think of Aligns as the "bread & butter" of the hobby.. Plenty around and plenty of spares both new and 2nd hand... Well supported all round.

    Occasionally something special and exotic comes along which is great but they quickly become limited editions and disappear like they never existed. I kinda expected the goblin to be one of these but they're hanging around longer than expected so who knows lol.

    and I agree its about how much fun you can get out of it not just bling appeal etc

      I will look forward to see what you think of the way it flies MJ as a few who can fly well do not like the dfc on the 700 and have reverted to taller heads. I have to say I loved dfc on my old 600 but not tried it on a bigger machine

        I'm not a fan of DFC having experienced other makes and have bought the KDE SXT conversation for it so it will be built this way from day one otherwise I would have gladly commented about it.

          Nowt wrong with Align , they are like the vauxhall corsa of the heli world ,.... they just get from A to B but sadly without a soul !

              Tis funny you making this decision Micheal, I only just bought the same heli (Electric version) last week.

              Still got two Raptor E720's but spares are yet to arrive for them.

              I can knock a 700DFC around knowing spares are available when the inevitable happens.

                    Align and SAB seem to have got it wrong. The normal heads with them are much better.

                    They should have done what Kasama done, that worked well.

                    Shame you got the N lol, but the E's actually look loads better than the previous models. I think thats prob my only bug bear with Align, you buy a model and a few months later a new one is out. Saying that, I rarely keep a model for that long lol

                        The latest 700 looks like a real nice model, i witnessed Bothma flying his and it goes well. After seeing the photo of Tim's 700 DFC pro it looks the business, kinda makes me want one.

                          There are awesome Michael Simple and just work!!!

                          I too have bought the KDE SXTS head for it which in my opinion improves it even more and takes the bite away from the rotor. Also you can slow the head speed down nicely as well.

                          Having said all that, the stock head does work pretty well

                          Oh and I'm putting a cheeky Kosmik 160 and pyro 750-50L in mine aswell

                            I am another fan on the 700 DFC E flavour,I am happy with the DFC head,I run it down to 1800rpm no problem at all,considered to try another head but left it as it is as I have other 700s that are different in their own right of course so take each as they come.

                            One of Aligns finest and they keep getting better.
