I went through the manual setup & by my experience decided to set both pots to 12 & as soon as i went to take of she wanted to tip left, i then lowered head speed & still she wanted to tip, i then adjusted the pots to various points & still she wanted to tip i then went back to manual settings & thought ill push that little more & she did topple, this strongly suggest there's a fault with it.Today's outlook is fine for flying.- Spektrum DX18 gen2, Phoenix Sims, Align MR25XP.

Perhaps because it's over £180 - as opposed to £130 ?Originally posted by Boggy View PostWhy is everyone comparing the 150 to the 130x? surely its equivalent is an mcpx bl?
Size wise, it's in between, but it's priced higher than both. I guess the 130x is the closer comparison overall ...Tom

I think the main reason people look to compare the 150 with the 130x is because the 130x is currently the king of the back garden pick it up and fly it little helicopters. I think people that own them want to know if the 150 rivals or even beats the 130x on overall performance and flyability. The Mcpx Bl, although the more similar overall, is not really considered by those that already own 130x imo.Originally posted by Boggy View PostWhy is everyone comparing the 150 to the 130x? surely its equivalent is an mcpx bl?
Plus, the 150 is leagues ahead of the Mcpx Bl which makes the comparisons short…. It is better, thats it. But i can see the point in the debating the 130 vs the 150 for experience and enjoyment. Obviously if you disregard sizeStainburn Helicopter Club

I really strugle to understand why you would buy one of theses things when all previous micros have been absolutely pants (strugling to hold back the phrophanities here) at anything other than basic upright flight.
how does a small plastic heli have such an effect on the brain of so many adult men, making them think its a good idea to part with £200 or whatever they cost, for one of these things ! this is a serious chunk of cash for a relatively useless pile of c--p. You know that it will break if you sneeze on it and the chances of it flying well with 3d in mind are close to zero. Its time for a toy forum to discuss micros . If you want to fly helis rc helis then please just go and get a bigger one and a sim !

Yes its 200 quid but who gives a f… (struggling to hold back the profanities here) If you can't afford to smash one up then don't buy one. Same applies to all helicopters

interesting, I went through the complete setup - pitch, swash-levelling etc. set my curves adjusted the pots and gave it a quick hover - no issues to report here - even though the board leans to one side on mine - which I tried to resolve but couldnt seem it making any difference really ...Originally posted by tourerjim View PostI went through the manual setup & by my experience decided to set both pots to 12 & as soon as i went to take of she wanted to tip left, i then lowered head speed & still she wanted to tip, i then adjusted the pots to various points & still she wanted to tip i then went back to manual settings & thought ill push that little more & she did topple, this strongly suggest there's a fault with it.Sev

The weather has not been great up here so not taken mine outside...but did do an indoor hover today where it just sat there. I did have to do a bit of setup though, as found that centre stick was about 4 degrees positive and one servo was not quite centred. So ran through the setup and sorted all of that and set the end points so I have +/- 11 degrees. Put the gain pot at 11 and the roll rate at about 2 o'clock. The tail motor mount on mine is not cracked but shows poor moulding. The two spares I got both look much better.
Should admit that I did mess up on the setup, as I was so used to the 3GX that I had the swash as 120deg CCPM.. lot of head scratching as the servo were all over the place. Then read the manual :-)

I am not worked up chap, just worried for you. I'm just trying to help people open their eyes to the fact that they have been brainwashed by heliadiction when it comes to micros and that all rational thought seems to have been lost when it comes to wanting one and purchasing these things.Originally posted by SaneAdam View PostMine works perfectly fine mr Troll

ever considered people dont like it if people who didnt put their money on something start bashing it? I for myself will give it a fair chance and see how it flies - I surely didnt fly it out of the box but checked the pitch ranges (which werent in line as per manual), levelled the swash which was out, fixed the servo wires with a zip tie as well as put some CA on my swashplate - before I took it into a first hover ... will see how it goes ...Originally posted by dogbiscuit View PostI am not worked up chap, just worried for you. I would love to have seen this heli work and do what is says on the tin, but its just not going to be up to all the hype like all the other micros. I went down the blade micro route in the begining so am talking from micro experience. what this has taught me is to just put your hard earned into a bigger heli and sim. it will just be far more rewarding in the endOriginally posted by r4nd0m View Postever considered people dont like it if people who didnt put their money on something start bashing it? Sorry dogbiscuit but what utter rubbish...
Just because someone has a different opinion to you or enjoys something you don't doesn't mean they are brainwashed.
I love my 130X, and it flies great. Micros can be a lot of fun, and sometimes I even prefer to fly my 130X than my 700 just because it's such a blast with very little worries attached.... My old first edition mCP X also taught me to fly inverted and loop, flip, roll etc and the skills transferred immediately to my bigger Helis whereas the sim never gave me the same confidence (and I find the sim as dull as dishwater) so even for all that little copter's flaws I still found it valuable and don't regret buying it in the slightest. Don't worry about anyone here, go worry about people that want you to look after them.Ridding the world of Helis, one crash at a time....
