First flights of trex 450 V2

Hi All,

Just had my first first on the Trex 450 V2. Wow!!!! Nice heli. So much difference to my original one

I'm running a 12T pinion which I'm going to change for the 13T I think. Liven it up a bit. What batteris are you all using. I need to buy three?

Yes i did,my Revolution 4800 that i said was not as good as expected failed totally during its 13th flight,,,spooky eh


Matt and several others saw it as it happened,motor just shut down and Lipo was dead

Its back with Aurorra now

Did another inverted landing undamaged ,

We connected it to the Balancepro charger and it showed an error and when connecting it to the heli the ESC does not beep,,,but when you connect a voltmeter to the main terminals it shows 25.2v

What we think has happened is that one of the balance leads connections has failed,,its a bit worrying though that if this is the case the DPM actually shuts the motor down,,,not a good idea really


Again this makes me feel justified in my comments about the Lipos early performance against some ridicule i received saying other peoples are OK so why is mine playing up,,,well its dead now so i suppose i was correct all along

Flew Geegar TREX 450 v2 today. I did try Raptorl50luvvers v2 a few weeks ago, but I was very nervous of crashing it so just hovered. However as it was Matts obviously it didn't matter as much. So I ventured out a bit with it and was gobsmacked how good it felt, really locked in, much less micro tendancies (as Ade puts it) than my SE. I am definitely getting one now.

Actually it's exactly what the DPM should do, if a cell is below 2.8V it shuts down, it isn't to know that a connection is bad it's just trying to stop you damaging the cell by over discharging. You could just not plug the ESC through the DPM and it would still work.
