Got My Trex 550E 3G Today ;-)

Hey All,

Just wanted to whip everyone into a jealous rage

Well they arrived at Robbe SchluterUK today, both 550E 3G and 700E 3G kits so I had to race on over and grab my 550 before it got posted off
I did quickly see Duncan Osbournes Trex 700E which looks good in the flesh, will look forward to seeing it flying.

Not really delved too deep in the box as yet, been out at a club commitee meeting tonight and work tomorrow, but will start the build as soon as I can after my first year wedding anniversary Sunday.

Straight away the canopy looks awesome and as ever everything is well packaged up to protect the various assembly stages.
Can't wait now to get it flying as I am sure it's going to be a beast

One task I do have tomorrow night is packaging up my Trex 500CF to go to it's new home, anyone know how to make 3 Cool Power boxes into one big one nicely?

Hey.

Yes I do plan on taking pictures along the way of the build so will post them here for all to see. I may get beaten to it by others who will start building straight away, but I will still post my own ones.

To say I'm excited is an under statement! The little 500 is a great machine, make it slightly bigger in the form of the 550 and it can only get better.
Canopy is well finished and eye catching so will finish the model off nicely.

I have to get one of these, looks great. Which batteries are you going to run?

Hey Paul.

At present I only have one battery and that is an Arrow Wind 6s 5000mah pack. The 2600mah one I run in my 500 worked very well so this one should be just as good in the 550.
Shortly I will grab an Align 4600/4800 one which is coming, but Robbe were out of stock of these today.

Hi Tim.

Good observation and one I cannot answer. Probably been too many top fliers inout on this model to fit all the signatures onto one box

More like a squished 600 with a shorter boom. lol.
