Hi, I can't control it enough. I am adjusting the servo rods a half turn at a time to try to solve the different actions and i seem to get it nearly right then it goes haywire again.

    Thanks for your help

Sounds like you need someone a bit more experienced to have a look at it. Or take it back to where you got it from and see what they think

They were not very helpful. Told me mainshaft was bent and sold me a pair. Fitted new shaft at home ( it was bent ) but did not cure it. Having ead all the comments from you guys, I am going to fit the new body and flybar and start from scratch with the settings. I have to admit that my takeoffs are not as positive as some of you are sayin they should be. I will let you know.
I hope I have replied to everyone. I apologise to anyoneI have missed.
Thanks again to you all, I will try everything you have mentioned

Thats a bit rubbish that they would not really help you more than that. You should have asked them to fly it for you to see if they is a more serious problem that they could see. Where did you get it from? If you keep struggling with it then take it back and see if they will swap it for an MSR. Although if they are not very helpful then they will probably say the problem is down to something you have done. But that seems unlikely to me

If you can take off ok with your other heli then you clearly have an idea of how to do this and keep it in a stable hover. How long have you had the 100? Some kind of video would be great so we can see what its doing

Hi again, I went out yesterday and bought an E-flight MSx2 and it is so easy to fly and hover.
I fitted my new flybar and it is still the same. I am not going to give up on the T-Rex but I went back on the net and did a search and there seems to be a lot of talk re faulty logic boards on the T-Rex. Have you heard of this? I Googled " T-Rex Logic board fault " and there are some interesting comments. I see from your page that you are agents for align. Do you have any way of testing the boards? I don't want to go to the expense of buying a new board in case there is an inherrent problem with them. ( I would if I knew it would definately cure the fault )
I can't send the T-Rex back as I have obviously crashed several times so my dealer would just laugh at me, so I have to persevere. Can I ask you what the improved tail is and what it costs. Could this be my problem?
Sorry to put this on you. I appreciate your replies, so thanks again

              Hello Buddy.

How old is the model exactly? I've looked back through the topic and not seen it mentioned, or I've missed it.
Personally if it's not too old then the first option is to return it to the shop from where you brought it from, who would then hopefully test it quickly themselves if they can fly heli's proficiently and making any repairs they find needs doing, such as a new board if need be.

You could do this with a reputable dedicated heli shop such as Midland Helicopters, who I am sure would gladly look over the model and test fly it. The good thing about this option is that they would then have the necassary parts on the shelf to retrofit and get the model flying for you before letting you know any costs involved.

I'd gladly test fly the model for you and make any repairs for the cost of the parts, but I do not have the parts in my collection to actually swap various bits and pieces out to find the fault. However I think the best option open to you would be the Midlands one above, you could give them a quick call to aski them if they'd be able to do this for you and go from there.

The only other bit of advice I can give you staright away is that I to struggled to get mine airbourne initially and I'm considered a professional flier ;-) the cause of my problems was that the throttle trim was not all the way down, which was causing problems with the inbuilt stability cyclic inputs on take off. What was happening is as I was advancing the throttle to lift off the model was giving a hard right cyclic command, lowering the trim allowed me to throttle past the stability input and take off with a level swashplate. Might be worth checking if you haven't already done so.
              .

I sent my busted up mcpx back to Horizon.... Snapped boom, busted landing skids, snapped links..... they sent me a brand new one back for nothing. Just because it has been crashed does not take away their responsibility to deal with a fault that is causing you to crash... providing it can be diagnosed as an inherent problem that has nothing to do with how you have handled it. In my view anyway

Have you tried lengthening/shortening the servo rods I did this with mine and flattend the tail blade and it sorted it out.

do what i did why you get it off the ground boot it so it stays in the air for longer than it has in flight
