          thanks

thanks to all your repleys i will take all into consideration myself i thought the beast x was just like the 3gx so did not consider it. when i went to the nationals this year all the top boys were using v-bar apart from ducan osborn he was using the old 3g unit for cyclic and a csm gyro on the tail,he came out best with maximum points. as for borrow a unit as someone has mentioned there is only 2 running fbl heli's at my club so this is a defo no i have watched a lot of bobby watts flying and that cgy750 just looks so locked in especially in backward flight. i will keep lookin between these 2 units till i decide which is best for me,there seams to be mixed opions so to me it sounds like the 2 units are about as good as each other and its just a personal choice thanks jago

            The only way you will find the FBL unit you prefer, is by trying them for yourself. IMO, they all fly well (the ones I have flown anyway), but they all offer something different;

            Vibe analyser
            GPS
            Bailout
            Gov
            etc...

If you feel that you want a bailout feature, then its the Skookum. If you want a vibe analyser, its the Vbar and so on.

Everyone always bleets on about how good their favourite system is, but then they will, as it is best for THEM.... Not always you.

Another problem by the looks of it, is the 'I have seen XXX sytem and it looked awful', IMO, a completely unfair 'test', but these opinions are still voiced.

Buy em all, and sell what you dont like

There's way more to the SK-720 than bail-out. The set-up parameters seem far more like a FB than the V-Bar's do. I found I got happy with the Skookum much faster than with the V-Bar. But I like the 4 banks on the V-Bar (SK-720 effectively has 2, but is more flexible).

I'm sure there's a lot of personal preference in this, but I wouldn't accept the view that the V-Bar is the premium one in the pack.

[Both my SKs & V-B use DSMX sats.]

I've also made far more use of the V-B than SK field programmer. A lot of the SK tweaking was just gains on the Tx. V-B needed parameters tweaking.

I'd look at the manuals & set-up utilities to see which appeals. Also, which deal with vibration better.

I think you've hit it on the head. When your that close to the top of the pyramid then there's not much between them. What's more important is that you understand the unit you own and know how to tune it to your liking. It also helps if there are others around that you trust and can bounce ideas off.

I got one here along with a Futaba SBE-1 Sbus adaptor to try in my Spectra G.

Also got 2 vbars,a Gyrobot 700 and a Align unit though.

The V bars are great but due to the built in governer that will work with the gasser and a Stator Gator sensor its worth trying for me.
