I was building my new Trex 600 Nitro Pro this weekend and came across a couple of problems (defects) in my set:
1. First issue was that the plastic seesaw was binding when I put those special shouldered screws in. Looking at Bob's videos I could see that the seesaw was moving freely. So I filed the inside of the seesaw ever so slightly and that cured the problem. No play and smooth as butter
2. Tried to push the Elevator control onto the control shaft. But it wedged tight. So I fiddled with it and put some oil on it to work it loose. Then tried again and it got completely jammed near the middle of the shaft. I just cannot get it off. I have messed up the soft alu shaft with pliers trying to get the elevator control off. So I will have to bin it. I did try to push the one end of the shaft into the frame bearings, but it too was tight. So I guess they machined the alu rod with incorrect tolerances. Oh well, that another £8 towards spares and I haven't even flown yet!
But besides that it has been a joy to put together. Reminds me of the old days with Lego
