Just thought - it's not the one-way bearing in the main gear you need to worry about, but the one-way bearing in the clutch.

Yes, that's the one I've just replaced this week and still not gripping.Originally posted by Si Goodchild View PostJust thought - it's not the one-way bearing in the main gear you need to worry about, but the one-way bearing in the clutch.
I'm going to order a new starter shaft and try that.JR Vibe Fifty fb (YS56)

i recently replaced both, only had 5 or 6 flights and now the owb is slipping again. my last 700 never had a problem but this one has now been thru 3 owb's in as many months, think im gonna try a lynx or Quk next time, but i dont fancy changing the liner as i know it has plenty of meat still on it.

I changed just the OWB bearing in the clutch with a new one from Model Fixings. It actually slips more than the old original Align one I took out! I'm wondering if the starter shaft has got so smooth, honed and polished over the years that it just won't engage the OWB anymore, hence I'm going to try a new shaft as well.Originally posted by trexsteve700 View Posti recently replaced both, only had 5 or 6 flights and now the owb is slipping again. my last 700 never had a problem but this one has now been thru 3 owb's in as many months, think im gonna try a lynx or Quk next time, but i dont fancy changing the liner as i know it has plenty of meat still on it.JR Vibe Fifty fb (YS56)
