  • hole cut into end of boom? whats it for?

    can anyone tell me what the hole cut into the last 1 inch or so of the tail end of the boom is for? i have just rebuilt the torque tube and boom assembly and was expecting something on the tail case to sit in it! but nothing??

    It is for the belt drive gearbox, that has a locating pin

          My nsp had a locating plastic locating pin that fitted under the vertical tail fin.

            on the actual fin daren?or the tail case frame as i have nsp but nothing that will go through the boom??

              the 600nsp only uses the gearbox as the clamp nothing else. the 700 has a plastic spacer that locates the boom and sit behind the verticle fin.

                Think you might be thinking of the 700 Darren, my 2 NSP's never had that, they both just had the clamp and the fins just bolted straight to the gearbox
