Ive got 2 600le's and they both screamed before suddenly snatching. changed both for the quick uk no more problems, take up is smooth and at tickover there is no drag.
      All the best

Replaced my sons original clutch with a new Align part which resulted in the screaming engine followed by very sudden spool up. On inspection I noticed that the hinge area of the new clutch was thicker than the original which would require a higher RPM to engage. A friend gave me a R90 liner but this was only 0.25mm thicker than the Align 600 liner so I didn't bother replacing it. Instead, I bent the shoes out a little using a screwdriver and returned the clutch to service. The clutch now engages with a little throttle and is still in use after many, many flights without a problem.

        Hopefully another solution....

This is a standard problem with the 600LE and ALL new clutches from align - yes even the new spares.

If you look at the clutch there are two holes in it. Because Align had complaints about the clutch breaking under heavy load at the edge of the hole they reduced the size of both holes which means the clutch has to spin faster before the effects of centrifugal force move the arms enough for it to grip.

It does get better after time but I found it always slips a bit and creates a waggy tail at lower headspeeds.

Just replace it for the Quick uk one - it should take about 30 mins to do, the difference is stunning.

The lynx clutch is also an option but I see from Paulice post recently they have a batch where the one way bearing has been mounted backwards so take care when purchasing.

NB Fast lads are aware of the problem so they should have checked the stock by now.

Like my previous post you can do the liner mods..

Also, I've used both the Lynx and the QuK clutch... both are better than the standard Align one but tbh.. buy the Quk one as I find it better than the lynx one!
