After many attemps, and either work or weather got in the way, I finally got to fly my 700 this weekend. This is the first time I have flown a 90 size heli, and the first time with a nitro since my Shuttle ZX over 13-14 years ago!
I'm happy to say 'WOW' it was just fantastic! I needed only 1 turn on a link to get the tracking spot-on, and everything else was perfect. The gyro needed no adjustment, and doing some fastish collective pumps, the tail held very firm.
In total I did 5 flights, and the last 2 were on sunday morning when the wind had picked up alot compaired to the first 3 flights on saturday. The smoke trail was almost horizontal, and was much stronger than I would ever fly the 450 or 500 in. The heli just sat there, nice and stable, with very little corrections needed, and again the gyro was so good. I just held her across wind, and you could see the corrections the tail was doing in HH. (A bit different to the old Futaba gyro I had in the Shuttle with the motor in it wizzing away!)
All in all, I'm well chuffed with it, and will be spending lots of money on 20% Optifuel this summer
Here are a couple of pics of my build as well.
